Nothing like straining the arm a little bit to pat one’s own back, but in these troubled times a little good news is always invigorating.

For us, that news came yesterday at the Seventh Annual Greystone.Net and StayWell Custom Communications Best in Class Awards luncheon in Las Vegas.

AVID Design was involved in the redesign of MUSC’s Seventh Annual Greystone.Net and StayWell Custom Communication’s Best in Class Silver Award winning Website. Click image to see their award-winning Website.

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Website—MUSChealth.com—was announced as the Silver Award winner in the Best Redesigned Website AMC category, which was redesigned by none other than AVID Design.

Along with MUSC, another client for whom we did a Website redesign—MCGHealth—was also a finalist in the competition. Unfortunately, they were not chosen for an award.

MUSChealth.com was redesigned to improve the usability, design, SEO and focus on the calls-to-action that generate business for the hospital.

We worked with MUSC to transform the graphic look of the site, including:

• Creation and application of new global style sheets and templates

• Redesign of several custom applications built outside of their CMS

• A new color scheme and less-cluttered layout throughout

• An SEO-friendly design and architecture focused on transactional-based links and navigation throughout the site.

Congratulations to MUSC—as well as Gold Award winner UW Health and Bronze Award winner Massachusetts General Hospital!
